GLSEN Professional Development Request Form

GLSEN San Diego is the local chapter affiliate of the Gay, Lesbian, and Straight Education Network (GLSEN), the leading national education organization focused on ensuring safe and affirming schools for all students, regardless of one’s actual or perceived sexual orientation and gender identity and expression.

GLSEN San Diego trainings draw on 20 years of research documenting the unique challenges of LGBTQ students and identifying policies and strategies that can improve school climate. Our trainings are in compliance with California State Law, AB 1266, also known as the “School Success and Opportunity Act."

Trainings include hands-on learning activities that build off one another to facilitate self-awareness, discussion, and skill building. For this reason, our trainings are generally 1-3 hours and include topics such as:

  • Safer School Fundamentals
  • Supporting Transgender and Gender Nonconforming Students
  • Model Anti-Bullying/Anti-Harassment Policies
  • Family Diversity and Inclusive Elementary Schools

To better support your school’s or organization's needs, we ask you to take a few moments to complete this Professional Development Request Form. Our Professional Development Coordinator will contact you to schedule the training.
